Anubis, the son of Osiris and Nephthys, is portrayed here in his jackal form, though he is more commonly represented as a jackal headed man.
Anubis attained his fame after conducting the first embalming in history on his father Osiris,
whom was dismembered by his brother, Set. This granted Osiris immortality, and both father
and son ruled of aspects of the underworld. This statue is cold cast resin & hand painted.
He is 5 1/2" long.

Obelisk, Cold cast resin Hand painted, 8 1/2" high x 2" square base. From the Greek word meaning; "a spit". It is a monumental tapering shaft usually made of pink granite. Capped with a pyramid ion at the top. Obelisks are solar symbols similar in meaning to pyramids, they are associated with an ancient stone called BENBEN in Heliopolis.
