Dill Protection Spell
Dill is a very versatile herb that can be used for protection, to dispel negative energy, or to attract money. The smell of dill is often enough to stimulate lust and other such feelings. Eating or bathing in dill can make you irresistible to those you desire. To promote this, while you visualize yourself as irresistible to the object of your desire, create bath salts by combining a half-cup of Epsom salts with a half-cup of dill weed and a half-cup of orange peel. Run your bath water; pour the bath salt and herb combination into a bowl, and pour approximately two cups of steaming water into the bowl. Place a towel over your head and carefully inhale the steam from the bowl for approximately ten minutes while you continue to visualize yourself being irresistible. Visualize your desired love object being overcome by your beauty and charms. Once the time is up, pour the contents into your bath water and soak while continuing to visualize. Put this energy into effect as soon as possible by seeking out the attentions of the target of your desire.

Salt Spilling Rituals
Folklore says much about salt. It brings luck, prosperity, and protection in many cultures around the world. People warn against borrowing it, as it means borrowing trouble; or lending it, which means giving away one’s luck—quite a contradictory bit of advice. Far more elaborate are the warnings and rituals involved in dealing with the spilling of salt, and what to do in such a case. Given the many uses of this element in spells, however, I find that in a magical household, the spilling of salt most often signifies nothing more dire than a hint to strengthen the wards protecting the place. If you happen to spill salt, don’t worry; just speak a charm such as this:
Spill salt, spill luck!
Sprinkle a bit around the room,
And that will lift the coming gloom.
Then suit actions to words, visualizing a bright shield over all.

Protection From Road Rage
Road rage seems ever more common on our highways and roadways today. To protect yourself from an outbreak of road rage—either from another, or in yourself—prepare (or purchase) a small, white drawstring pouch. Place hematite, bloodstone, and crushed rue in a small bowl. Extend your hands over the bowl and form a triangle with your thumbs and fore-fingers. Visualize a protective beam of energy descending into your crown. Focus this beam through the triangle to the bowl, and say:
Let the rage of others
and the rage of my own,
Become harmlessly grounded by herb and by stone.
Empty the contents of the bowl into the pouch, and place them in your car.

Reflective Protection Spell
This is a powerful spell to deflect unwanted energy from your home. Use this spell when you are being bothered by unwanted attention. You need a set of small mirrors equaling the number of windows in the house. Small cosmetic mirrors are available in drugstores. Place one mirror on each window in the house to reflect any energy sent your way. As you put the mirrors up, repeat these words:
Unwanted energy,
Right back you go.
You shall reap just as you sow.

Keep out dark intents and fear.

As you speak, visualize three circles of blue light surrounding your vehicle and traveling with it. Now act in accord by keeping your mind on your driving and your hands on the steering wheel.

Rune Spell for Protection
Today marks the anniversary of the sixth day of Odin’s ordeal. Odin, wounded by his own blade, hung upside-down from Yggdrasil for nine days to seek the knowledge of the World Tree. On the ninth night, the runic alphabet was revealed to him. With the waning Moon, it is an auspicious day to cast a runic spell for protection. Place two black feathers next to a black candle. Light the candle, and arrange from left to right three runes—beginning with Mann (m), the self. From your relationship to yourself flows your relationship with others. Next, place Tyr (t), warrior energy. Tyr counsels to look within to discover what your needs are and how to tap your inner resources. Finally, place Eohl (z), protection. Eohl counsels that correct conduct and timely action are the only true protection. This spell requires deep contemplation in order to be effective.

Home Protection Spell
The best protection for your home is to lock up when you are away. Lock the windows, the doors, and any other openings. When going away for the weekend on vacation, a protection spell works best if no one knows you are away except a trusted friend. Stop the mail, don’t order things that may be delivered while you are gone, or have someone check for packages. Once the prep work is done, place a black stone such as onyx, jet, or smoky quartz under the doormat or near the door, and say:
I ward this house
By the power of Vesta.
Those who would harm Will not enter.
Pieces of elder over the doorways and on windowsills give added protection.

Energy and Protection Spell
For energy and protection, gather some sea salt and red chili powder. Set up sacred space in your usual manner and invite the spirits of the place to join you. Have a bowl of warm water on your altar and burn cedar incense. Add the sea salt and chili powder to the water. Stir it three times while asking the spirits to bless you and your home with renewed energy to create an honorable life and protection against any unwanted energies, thoughts, or foreign beings. Starting in the east, go around your home, sprinkling a small amount of water in each room. If possible, sprinkle a small amount of water around the outside of your home or at least around the front door.

Protection Wreath Spell
To create a protection wreath perfect for this day, tie sprigs of dill, garlic, and pieces of ginger root on to a wreath. To give this decoration a fancier look, accessorize with dried flowers, good luck or protection tokens or amulets, and streaming ribbons. You can attach this to the outside of your home or to your front door, or you can use it as a decorative home accessory. Be sure to burn a white candle while you are constructing your wreath. Once it is finished, hang it up and chant:
Herbs of the earth,
Spirits above,
I request your powers
To protect this property.
Allow the candle to burn out on its own.

Amethyst Protection Spell
Amethyst is known to balance energies and bring strength, stability, and peace to its bearer. Run it under clear water for three minutes while visualizing all unwanted energies flowing out of the stone. Allow the water to carry these bad energies away for purification. Fill the stone with these energies. Carry this amethyst with you for at least seven days to attune your energies to this effective partnership.

White Buffalo Woman Peace and Protection Spell
Since the end of the twentieth century, more than one white buffalo calf has been born. The white buffalo has long been a symbol in Native American lore of peace and the arrival of a new era. The goddess called White Buffalo Woman, meanwhile, is a goddess of peace. Invoke her to protect your home and keep it peaceful. To do so, find a picture, figurine, or plush toy white buffalo. Place the white buffalo along with any other Native American motifs you may have (a dream catcher, a kachina, and so on) on your altar with an offering of spring water and tobacco. Ask White Buffalo Woman for protection and peace, then smudge each room three times with a bunch of white sage, asking negative energies to leave. Afterward, thank her, and place the artifacts where they will do the most good (dream catcher in the bedroom window, for example.) Smudge the home once a month.

Five Points of the Pentagram Protection Spell
Get drawing paper, and draw a large pentagram on it, without drawing a circle around it. Take five votive candles, and place them at each corner of the star. Get your broom, and light each candle saying this:
With each corner that I light,
this star of all stars so bright
will show my way and my path
to protect loved ones from anger and wrath.
Let this path be one of ease,
as we walk through the trees
with this fire I command tonight,
blessings upon those who walk it right.
So mote it be.
Face outward, and sweep your broom one full circle counterclockwise around your pentagram. Finish your pentagram by drawing a circle around it.

Key Ring of Protection
For this protection charm you’ll need a key chain that can fit comfortably in a pocket, a white candle, and a clove of garlic. Light the candle, and hold key chain and garlic above the flame, visualizing the light of the candle entering and surrounding both items. Gently rub the garlic clove over the key chain, picturing its protective qualities coating the key chain. You don’t have to saturate the key chain with the garlic. The goal is to form a protective charm, not keep everyone at bay. Now hold the key chain in both hands and pour some protective guardian energy into it. Let it bathe in candlelight until the candle has burnt itself out. Carry your new charm whenever you’re in an uncertain social situation or out traveling. If you need its protective powers, simply carry it in your hand.

Mars Protection Spell
In the ancient Indian astrological system of Jyotish, the planet Mars is also regarded as the ruling planet for Tuesday. Red coral, which is governed by the planet Mars, is one of nine precious gems useful for Jyotish remedies. Persons wishing to gain the blessings of Mars and attract its strong protective energies will find the wearing of red coral very useful. This is especially true when you wear it against the skin after invoking Lord Mars on a Tuesday. The mantra for Lord Mars should be repeated at least nine times. Practitioners familiar with Hinduism or Hindu pantheons should chant the relevant mantra 108 times for maximum effect:
