Welcome back to Saffron’s Cauldron!

April… showers bring May flowers… ahh yes I can almost smell the gentle rains now! Spring has sprung and the earth is awake and already stretching and moving her green across the lands. It’s a beautiful site to behold indeed! There are trees budding, daffodils stretching toward the sky and blankets of green popping up all across the neighborhood. Mother nature is rolling up her sleeves and is about to do a little spring-cleaning with wind and rain so that her beautiful creations can blossom and grow in a fresh and healthy environment.

With all this new energy flowing around us this is an excellent month for us to do a little spiritual spring-cleaning. Keeping our energy body clear and flowing helps keep us centered and focused and it promotes new growth for us as well. A healthy body and mind go hand in hand with a healthy energy body. If our Aura or Chakra’s are blocked are not properly maintained it eventually begins to affect our physical and mental being.

There are truly hundreds of therapists of many types you can talk to, read up on and even visit to help you do a little spring-cleaning of your own, but you can also learn how to do a few things on your own. There are many schools of thought on what works best and how best to approach it but as you practice and experiment more and more you will find the method and approach that works best for you personally. We are all unique so what works for one person may not work for another…but don’t give up… keep searching and in time you find the best method for you!

One of the most important things you can do for your body is to meditate. Meditation is the way to bring your body into a peaceful very relaxed state. This state can facilitate many things but where the energy bodies are concerned it helps to facilitate healing. You cannot heal the body properly if you are tense and your energy field is over stimulated… it just does not work. You will find many people meditate for hours each day… while others meditate only once a week. What is enough? What is too much? Only your body can answer that question for you. The important point is to start meditating and allow your body to relax in a conscious state. You can only benefit from it and your body will love you for it. If you are so inclined you can use that state to perform healing work on yourself like Reiki. Learning to heal the body is a magnificent gift. Some are very blessed to have this talent and for those who have not it can be learned.

One of the most important things you should begin with before doing any healing work is to ground yourself and connect with Mother Earth. I will attach some info on how to ground at the end for you. Even if you do not know any of the healing arts, grounding to Mother Earth in and of itself is a very healing process for many. It allows you to connect and to release into her all your sorrows, your aches or pains, and your issues. She will receive them all from you and help you release them into her and heal you. There are others who use Mother Earth as their anchor to help steady them so they can continue on to do healing work, pursue other realms or set off on a PLR. If you are not using grounding prior to mediations, then next time you meditate try grounding first and feel the difference you get. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

Whatever plans you make this spring to enjoy Mother Earths grand display of color, be sure that you spend some time connecting with her through meditation and grounding. She is a gracious hostess!

Grounding Instructions
(Feel free to alter as your body requires)

First find a comfortable position. I find sitting up in a chair with my feet flat on the floor works well for me. I also like doing this standing barefoot in the grass for a very strong connection. Once you are comfortable, begin by breathing in deep steady and rhythmic breaths of air. Bring the air in through the nose and deep down into the belly and then exhale our slowly through the mouth. Focus on taking the air in deeply and out slowly and find your rhythm with this slow and deep breathing. After about a dozen deep breaths or as many as you need to find your rhythm you are going to start to focus on your crown chakra and on the next deep breath in you will bring in the Universal light from above you.

As you breath in each breath you will take that light down deeper and deeper until it reaches the tips of your toes. Let the light move and breath with you… in and out taking it deeply down through every inch of your body. Once you have a comfortable rhythm with this light start to focus on the soles of your feet. With the next deep breath in you are going to draw up from the center of Mother Earth her rich deep energy. As you breathe her in fully and deeply you will breath her into every inch of your body just like you did with the Universal Light. You will feel or visualize the two mixing in with your life breath and all will become one breathe of life together.

When you are comfortable with the three energies having become one breathe in you then you are firmly grounded to Mother Earth and her Universe. Some people will use this time during grounding to release issues to mother earth and doing so is as easy as taking the issue into your heart chakra by breathing it in deeply to that chakra and feeling it deeply within as you continue to take your deep breathes. Once you are ready you breathe out the issue fully into the Mother Earth and she will receive it from you. You should feel like every ounce of breathe in you has been released down to her before breathing in the healing energy she will send back to you.

Following the grounding you can continue on to meditate or work your healing art or if you are done you can release the energies and slowly come back to your own energy and breath. Just simply let the energies unwind from each other and as you breath out gently release them back to the Mother Earth.
